Role
The Role of the Chairperson is made up of two parts:
Facilitator for the meetings to ensure that they run smoothly and that the business is carried out effectively
Leader of the team.
Meeting Preparation
Produce an agenda(in conjuction with the Secretary)
Write a monthly report
Within the Meeting
· Set up the working environment
· Keep a note of the main discussion points
· Be aware of members wishing to speak
· Bring out the opinions of the members of Management Committee
· Be prepared to focus the debate
· Time Management
· Clarify and summarize the decisions of the meeting
· Keep the meeting enjoyable
· Participate in the meeting
Leader of the team
· Monitor and liaise with committees
· Deal with conflict
· Build and maintain a strong Management Committee
· Inspire with vision
· Act as a spokesperson for LETS
